Student affiliates receive a wider musical experience than is usually afforded in private music study.  You'll get recognition for achievement in various phases of musical education and activity.  Student affiliates  participate in

• competitions,

• festivals,

• ensembles,

• examinations, and

• and scholarships.

How do I become a Student Affiliate?
Your Music Teacher must first become a member of  the Fort Worth Music Teachers Association.  Your teacher will then enroll you in the activities that suit your needs and goals.

What Activities are available for a Student Affiliate?
Numerous activities are available including competitions, examinations and performance opportunities.  Students of FWMTA members who are in grades 1-12 or enrolled in college may participate in Student Affiliate activities.
